About

My name is John.  Nice to meet you!!

I am 25 year-old male with a lot of time on his hands.  I seek love, life, happiness, good health, prosperity, in no particular order.  I like to play my guitar, and would like to think that I am pretty good at it.  I have hemophilia but it doesn’t control me nor define who I am.

I grew up Baptist, and attended a strict Baptist private school.  I was third in my class, out of four total.  Technically, there were only three that got a diploma.  Number 4 went through the graduation ceremony but didn’t go back for the summer to finish his credits.  That makes me last in my class, but that it my little secret.  My strengths were Math, Science, English, Spelling, well everything.  I think I was a good student and didn’t struggle with anything in High School.  It was tough dealing with all the rules but I think I got a good education and a strong moral background.

I graduated from Indiana University Kokomo, and crammed a four-year degree into about six.  My bachelor’s is in Criminal Justice and I would like to pursue a career in law enforcement.  I currently work for the state of Indiana for an agency that regulates gambling on riverboats and casinos.  It is a quasi-law enforcement/regulatory job.  For the most part it is pretty boring, but it pays pretty well.  My dream job is State Trooper.

I am the Jack-of-all-trades and the Master-of-none.  I like to do anything as long as it is with my hands.  Woodworking, working on cars, crocheting, cooking, guitar-playing are just to name a few.  I am not afraid to try anything once, and love trying new things.

I am a dog person.  I like cats too but not as much.

My favorite thing to do is laugh and I love making others laugh.  I want to try stand-up comedy.  In fact, public speaking is one of the biggest adrenaline rushes that I get, so I always try to incorporate jokes when I can.

My biggest fears are spiders (which I am slowly overcoming), going to prison or a family member going to prison, losing my hands, and becoming a vegetable.  Strangely dying is not on that list.

There is so much more about me that I cannot list.  I like what I have become and where I am going.

I am who I am and that is who I want to be.

Enjoy my blog!  And I hope to hear from you!

John V.
